I've come across the following image and I find that it is suitable to reflect on our lives these days.
Currently, people in general think so much on how to make more money or maybe some, how to save as much as money as they can. It is true that to live life comfortably, we will need money. Although money is not everything, but money is one of the most important needs for any human. I think that even kids are aware of this - I've seen how kids anticipate to get ang pow during chinese new year and hari raya. They are aware of the value of money. But, are they aware of the value of health as well??? Nowadays, we are exposed to more chemicals compared to the previous generations before us. We wine and dine in restaurants more than them... The air quality has also deteriorated as compared to 10 years ago. Let's face it, Mother Earth has aged too and we have not helped much in preserving nature's resources for us and our future generations.
Now, back to my title and the quotation picture above. Some may say, health is wealth but say this to younger generations and some may not agree. They will say, what's the point of being healthy but have no money to enjoy life? Now, I am not going to contradict the 'Health is Wealth' phrase, but all I'm saying is that we need to care for our health in order to enjoy the wealth that we have gained or going to gain. Therefore, do look into your health, do regular medical checkup or better (if you can afford it), do executive screening. It is better that we spend a little bit of money to maintain our health so that we can enjoy the wealth that we are building for us and our families, right? This brings to my next topic...
...to invest in good medical insurance. The other day, my insurance agent, who is also a relative, told me that I have an option to upgrade my policy to cover me until I am 80 years old. The upgrade, of course, means increasing my monthly premium. His explanation is that with the advanced technology in our medical field, people in the future will be able to live longer - makes sense. Therefore, having a good medical insurance will provide us the means to obtain the best medical treatment available without worrying about the treatment costs. We all know that the best medical treatment is not cheap but when it comes to health, of course, we want to have the best, right? As some old life insurance policies may not cover medical expenses, I suggest that you check your policies and see whether medical is covered or not. Believe me, one day, it will come in handy... It is better to pay a bit on monthly basis now than to pay a big sum one shot later, right? Before I end this paragraph, I just want to put a disclaimer that I am not an insurance agent nor do I favour a particular insurance agency from another. I am simply stating the fact that having a medical insurance to cover hospitalisation and medical treatments is important.
So until my next posting, peace to all my blog readers, where ever you all are... :)

This post is true and most of the people forget about their health while accumulating wealth which they can't enjoy later on.
